President Muhammadu Buhari has said that Nigeria will continue to offer its help and cooperation to its neighbours when necessary.
Vanguard reports that the president made this commitment on Friday, April 12 when received the outgoing ambassador of Equatorial Guinea to Nigeria, Obiang Esono Mbengono, in Abuja.

The president Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea have always identified with each other, “and we will continue to maintain good neighbourliness.”
President Buhari said he was happy that the outgpoing ambassador “settled and understood our people and culture quite well.”
The ambassador in his remark said Nigeria made a great impact in his life as he leant “about this big and important country,” adding that the people were friendly and warm.
He also congratulated President Buhari on his re-election saying: “Nigeria is in good hands, and we are happy.”
Meanwhile, The All Progressives Congress (APC), Yobe state chapter, on Friday, April 12, advised Senator Ali Ndume (Borno-APC), to respect supremacy of the party and avoid placing personal interest above collective interest.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, the Yobe state’s secretary of the party, said this in an interview in Damaturu.

“The interest of the party supersedes all other interests,” Bakabe said as he cautioned the legsilator against working with the opposition to ridicule the APC.
