The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has won the four House of Assembly supplementary elections conducted by the the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Rivers state.
The elections were conducted in Abua/Odual, Ahoada west, Gokana and Opobo/Nkoro local government areas of the state.

Channels TV reports that INEC on Sunday, April 14, declared Sokolo Solomon, winner of the Abua/Odual constituency with 55, 944 votes while Okpokiri Nwanaka won Ahoada west LGA, with 32,574.
Dumle Maol of Gokana constituency was also declared winner with 55,319 votes.
Adonye Diri also won the House of Assembly seat for Opobo/Nkoro constituency after he had scored 7,713.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers appealed to the minister of transportation, Rotimi Amaechi and the All Progressives Congress (APC), to join hands with him in moving the state forward.

The governor made the appeal in a state broadcast on Thursday, April 11, to mark the landmark Supreme Court judgement striking out an appeal by Rivers APC.
Legit.ng gathered that Governor Wike, who promised to run an all-inclusive government, said the state stands to benefit more if all leaders are united.
