CCT convicts Onnoghen of Breach of Code of Conduct

The Code of Conduct Tribunal has convicted the suspended Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice Walter Onnoghen of breach of Code of Conduct for Public Officers, Punch is reporting.

Tribunal chairman Danladi Umar, reading the judgement, ordered Onnoghen’s immediate removal from office as the CJN, Chairman of the National Judicial Council and the Chairman of the Federal Judicial Service Commission.

The judgement also ordered Onnoghen to forfeit the five accounts which he failed to declare as part of his assets.

The CCT also banned Onnoghen from holding public office for the next 10 years.
