- The actor who was reported to have been suffering from an undisclosed illness was moved to America after Nigerians offered him financial support
- Baba Suwe seems to be getting better and he has assured Nigerians that he is still very much alive
Nigerian actor Babatunde Omidina, popularly known as Baba Suwe, has debunked death rumours recently making waves on the internet.
Speaking from America, the actor assured Nigerians that he is receiving the right treatment in the US and is getting much better.
Recall that the 60-year-old actor left the shores of Nigeria just a short while back after it was reported that his health was failing and he was in dire need of impeccable medical services. Many took pity on him and some of his colleagues and Nigerians offered financial support which helped him move to America to get the much needed help.

However, several reports claimed that he was dead but comic actor Bolaji Amusan aka Baba Latin released a clip stating that it was in fact a lie. Just recently, Baba Suwe, released a video clip in which he proved that he was indeed still alive.
He said: "My people, both the young ones and the elderly ones in Nigeria. I am currently in America where I am receiving treatments.. and they are treating me well. There is nothing wrong with me. Whoever that wishes me death will die before me. Me as a person, I won’t die, but live long. Thank you all. I really appreciate you all. This America that I am, it is all you. Thank you."

Meanwhile, in light of the quick and prompt response accorded to Baba Suwe and his ailing health, his first son Adesola Omidina took to writing an open letter in which he thanked all those who came to his father's aid.
The guy mentioned the individuals and groups who raised a helping hand just so his father could quickly recover. Some of the people he mentioned include the current vice president of Nigeria Yemi Osinbajo, the TAMPAN association, individual actors, friends and relatives.
