Alhaji Ishaq Hadejia, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Jigawa state, has advised President Muhammadu Buhari to avoid re-appointing ministers that did not perform credibly in office.
Legit.ng learnt that Hadejia, spoke with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Dutse, the capital of Jigawa state on Thursday, February 28, on the re-election of President Buhari.
The APC chieftain argued that the president earned a lot of votes from Nigerians because of the trust and confidence the citizens have in him.

“Going by this, I am of the view that any minister who doesn’t have the trust and confidence of his people, the President should not re-appoint him or her in the journey to the ‘Next Level’.
“Some of these ministers are hostile and isolated themselves from their people, they are not even participating fully in the campaign for the re-election of APC for a second term.
“Now that the masses have again voted Buhari for a second term, he should avoid appointment of relatives and friends into his cabinet,” he said.
Hadejia further urged the president to always consult state governments before the appointment of ministers.
“I can tell you that there are series of complaints from state governors including party chieftains that they were never consulted before appointments of ministers were made at the top,” Hadjia said.
Legit.ng earlier reported that the Ekiti state chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Paul Omotoso, described the victory of President Muhammadu Buhari in the Saturday February 23 presidential election as an act of God.
Omotoso stated this on Thursday, February 28, in Ado-Ekiti at a rally to felicitate with the president on his victory.
He said Buhari’s victory was “an answered prayer of Nigerians which no human can work against.’’
It also reported that Senator Ali Ndume, a representative of Borno at the National Assembly, said President Muhammadu Buhari scored high in the north east during the election because of the relative peace that now reign in the zone.
