- Maurizio Sarri claims he always feels alone whenever results don't go Chelsea way
- But the 60-year-old has not given up on staying at Chelsea for another season
- Chelsea have failed to win three consecutive Premier League matches since September 2018 when they won their opening five of the season
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has admitted feeling all alone at the club as he seems not to have found a lasting solution to his team’s inconsistent form this season.
The Blues are chasing their first win in three games when they face relegation threatened Cardiff on Sunday, March 31.
Ahead of the game, Sarri knows he is all alone should his team suffer yet another defeat after going down 2-0 against Everton in their last Premier League tie.
Sarri said: “I know very well that, in my job, you are always alone.
“Here, in Naples, in Empoli, everywhere, you depend only on the results.
“For me, it’s normal to have the feeling of being alone. For every coach, you are with the others only if you win. When you lose, you are alone.”

However, the 60-year-old has clearly not given up on staying at Chelsea for another season.
According to him, he took out time to watch video clips of his team’s previous games and next opponents during the international break, in an attempt to find a solution to his club’s inconsistent form this season.
He said: “I don’t switch off. Why try? I worked during the break. I watched the last five or six of our matches.
“I saw our future opponents. So I tried to work in the same way. When there is a match, when there is training, for me everything is very important.
“So I want to stay at the same level in the mind for 11 months.”

The axe is likely to fall on Sarri if he fails to deliver Champions League football for Chelsea this season.
Sarri needs his Blues to either finish in the top four (they are currently sixth on the league), or get into Europe’s glamour tournament by claiming Europa League title.
But that looks like a big hurdle to climb as Chelsea have failed to win three consecutive Premier League matches since September 2018 when they won their opening five of the season.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that fans of Chelsea football club have activated their happy mode, following their star player Eden Hazard’s response, after being asked which colour of jersey he prefers between Chelsea’s blue or Real Madrid’s white.
Speaking in a quick fire interview with Belgian newspaper HLN and quoted by Daily Mail, Hazard revealed his loyalty to the Blues. Asked by the reporter, Chelsea blue or Real Madrid white? Hazard replied ‘Blue’.
