Legit.ng gathers that Atiku, who met Abdulsalami in the presence of his running mate, Peter Obi, and other PDP chieftains, warned that tensions are building up in the land.
He reportedly demanded for the following:
1. Unfreezing of bank accounts belonging to opposition politicians.
2. Demilitarization of subsequent elections.
3. Accreditation of voters before voting in subsequent elections.
4. INEC should open its back end server to all participating parties.
5. Release of all politicians detained illegally by the federal government.
Atiku stated that the February 23 elections were the worst in the country since the return to democratic rule as the exercise was marred by brazen rigging with no consideration for the people’s will.
He reportedly listed the issues with the elections as follows:
1. Unconstitutional deployment of the military which was in breach of a Supreme Court judgement.
2. Malpractice between INEC officials, the ruling party and the military to undermine the votes/voters of the PDP.
3. Collaboration between the federal government and INEC to undermine the sanctity of the votes of the people.
4. The malpractices show that there was no improvement from 2015.
Abdulsalami and his team reportedly pleaded with Atiku to avoid anything that would jeopardize the peace of the nation. The NPC is expected to meet the Buhari government with the demands.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Atiku Abubakar is confident that he would be victorious when he formally institutes an election petition case against President Muhammadu Buhari and the APC.
One major reason for Atiku’s confidence is the alleged wide-ranging availability of video evidence to back up his claims of non-voting, voter intimidation, ballot box snatching and destruction, illegal vote cancellation and deliberate voter disenfranchisement.
An associate to the presidential candidate said the PDP prepared in advance for the APC’s rigging by sending agents with hidden cameras to the field.
