The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River has rejected results of Saturday’s Governorship and State House of Assembly elections announced by INEC.
The acting chairman of the party in Cross River, John Ochala, in a statement on Monday, said the party has dissociated itself from the governorship and house of assembly elections.
Ochala assured members of APC in the state that its leadership would seek legal means to redress the situation.

He, therefore, urged them to remain calm, the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports.
INEC had on Monday, declared the incumbent governor, Benedict Ayade of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as the winner of Saturday’s election.
According to INEC, Ayade polled 381,484 votes as against 131,161 polled by Senator John Owan-Enoh, the governorship candidate of APC.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that the Borno chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) rejected the governorship election result declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in the state.
However, the Action Peoples Party (APP) and Alliance of Social Democrats (ASD) hailed the election and pledged to support the incoming APC government.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that INEC had declared the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate, Prof. Babagana Zulum, winner of the Saturday’s governorship election in the state.
