West Ham United boss Manuel Pellegrini has accused Jurgen Klopp of always winning with offside goals.

The Hammers came from one goal down to hold Liverpool to 1-1 draw with Sadio Mane and Michail Antonio scoring for either side in the game.

This means that the Anfield side are just two points ahead of defending champions Manchester City ahead of their next league game against Bournemouth at home.

Goal.com however reports that Pellegrini disapproved of Mane's goal because James Milner was offside during the build up.

The visitors failed to sealed the victory in added-time winner through substitute Divock Origi as the linesman was quick to raise the flag for offside.

West Ham boss also recounted similar situation that his former side Malaga side knocked out of the Champions League quarterfinal stage by Klopp's Borussia Dortmund.

Both managers appeared have been angered by the decisions of the match officials after exchanging muted words on their ways to dugout.

And Pellegrini was quick to mention that last-eight tie in 2013 when he appeared in a post-match news conference.

"It doesn't matter [what was said], Klopp is used to winning [with] goals offside," Pellegrini said.

"He beat me against Malaga with Borussia Dortmund with a goal seven metres offside, so he cannot complain about anything."

Having lost their last three matches in all competitions, Pellegrini was pleased to see his players show the character they are made of against the league leaders.

"I was pleased with the performance because I thought we played a very good game, but I'm disappointed with the result because they scored a goal which was clearly offside," Pellegrini added.

"We missed three or four chances, especially in the first 35 minutes, which could have finished the game. We missed those opportunities so we had a draw in a game which we could have won.

"We played with the pace we had shown in other games again. In the Premier League you can't play against anyone if you don't play at a high pace.

"If you give time and space to players, they will make good decisions and score goals. We worked similarly tonight as we did against Arsenal, but we created more chances.

"We then lost three games away from home but I think the team we saw tonight is the team we must see from now until the end of the season."

Michail Antonio, who scored the equaliser posted tweeted after the game on @Michailantonio: "Never cut corners, always aim for them! Wanted to get the fans all three points tonight, support that’s shown week in week out deserves it, didn’t quite get there but we gave our all! ⚒ #COYI"

West Ham travel to the Selhurst Park this weekend to face relegation threatened Crystal Palace as they hope to better their lot on the table.
