All Progressives Congress (APC) senator, Abu Ibrahim, has said the ruling party is working hard to ensure that Bukola Saraki, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) does not return to the National Assembly as Senate President.
Daily Trust reports that Senator Ibrahim said once the new senators come in after the election, new leaders will be selected for the National Assembly and Saraki won't be one of them.
The senator said Senate President Saraki would be lucky if he can win his constituency during the electioon, as the opposition party is working hard to ensure he loses.

He said: "I’m definitely sure he will not come back as Senate president. If he’s lucky, he gets his seat because we would work against him until he losses.
“Quote me, we would do everything possible to see that he losses his seat. It is not even the issue of becoming the Senate president. It’s a challenge I’m giving him."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng earlier reported that Saraki expressed confidence in the ability of the presidential candidate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, to meet up with the yearning of people on job creation if elected.

Speaking during the PDP campaign rally in Enugu state, the Senate president, who also doubles as the director general of PDP presidential campaign, said Atiku would come with a fresh economic plan that would meet the demand of Nigerians.
