Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), is to appear before an Abuja Federal High Court, in a contempt suit.
The appearance follows an alleged flouting of a court order restraining him from dissolving the Daniel Nwafor-led executives of the party in Imo state, The Guardian reports.

Legit.ng gathers that Oshionmhole had been warned, via the injunction issued on August 14, 2018, not to tamper with, dissolve or remove the affected from office.
The court warned the former Edo governor, in a notice of consequences of disobedience dated January 30, 2019, that “unless you obey the directive (s) in this order, you will be guilty of contempt of court and will be liable to be committed to prison.”
However, Oshiomhole went ahead to dissolve the executive committee and inaugurated a caretaker committee headed by Prince Marcellinus Nlemigbo to pilot the APC's affairs in the state.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the Federal High Court in Abuja ordered that Comrade Adams Oshiomhole be served with an application brought before the court by one Bishop Osadolor Ochei, an anti-corruption activist.
Ochei had asked the court for an order of mandamus compelling the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to commence criminal proceedings against Oshiomhole, for alleged corrupt activities.
