Nigeria going in wrong direction before Buhari took over - Boss Mustapha

- Boss Mustapha said President Muhammadu rescued the country when he took over

- The SGF claimed the country was heading in the wrong direction before

- Gen Buba Marwa also commended President Buhari for turning the country around for good

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, has said that President Muhammadu Buhari rescued the country as it was heading in the wrong direction before he took over power.

Daily Trust reports that Mustapha spoke at the 2019 National Policy and Development (N-PoD) Summit which took place in Abuja.

Represented by the permanent secretary in charge of general services, Olusegun Adekunle, the SGF said president Buhari was able to steer the country to the right direction.

He said the president’s integrity has defined him despite resistance from those used to looting the country’s treasury.

The minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Mohammed Bello, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari, said “the achievement of the present government is a proof that Next Level is assured.”

Brig. Gen. Muhammed Buba Marwa who is the former military governor of Lagos said the “Federal Government saves N42 billion monthly from the Treasure Single Account (TSA) which President Muhammadu Buhari implemented when he assumed office.”

Represented by General Yakubu Mu’azu, he said apart from the monthly savings in the TSA, the Federal Government now “retains unspent funds that before now were unaccounted for my Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs).”

He said President Buhari inherited a collapsed economy, decayed infrastructure, and economic sabotage but has been able to resuscitate it.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported the APC Presidential Campaign Council condemned the postponement of the general election by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

The spokesperson for the presidential campaign council, Festus Keyamo, in a statement, condemned the postponement of the elections but urged the APC supporters to remain patient and determined.
