A chieftain of the APC in Ebonyi state, Chris Adolawam, has vowed to sue the Independent National Electoral Comission (INEC) and the leadership of Progressive Democratic Movement for wrongly listing his name as the state north senatorial candidate for the party in 2019 general elections.
Adolawam who made this known in his residence in Abakaliki, said he was embarrassed by the publication, adding that his lawyers were going to file a suit of N100 million damages against INEC and PDM, Vanguard reports.
He said: “This is a strange development that is targeted at tarnishing my image as an APC chieftain. What is the relationship between APC and PDM?”

The APC chieftain informed his supporters and stakeholders of the party that he has not changed his membership of the APC, warning that nobody should use his name to score cheap political point in the state.
He said: “I have never discussed with them. Yesterday, my attention was drawn to the publication. I have notified my lawyer. It is ridiculous for PDM to publish my name as their senatorial candidate for the 2019 general election.
“In this document, page 122, my name was published by INEC as PDM senatorial candidate. I am suing them together with INEC and by Monday, we will file a suit in court.

“This publication made people to look at me as a double standard person; if I were involved, I should have been campaigning or my posters will be everywhere. They are going to pay dearly for it; I’m not holding any assignment but my Bible. We will sue for 100m for damages.”
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that the APC governorship aspirant in Ebonyi state, Chris Adolawam, said the marginalization of Ndigbo within the southeast region was not the fault of President Buhari but that of some southeast governors who are only interested in what concerns them personally.
The APC governorship aspirant stated this on Wednesday, April 18, while briefing newsmen immediately after a phone-in programme hosted by Unity FM in Abakaliki.
Adolawam said that “the president had put modalities in place to ensure the economic development and sustainability of federal government policies in every sector of the economy within the region.”
