Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra state said that his government’s good relationship with the President Muhammadu Buhari-led All Progressives Congress (APC) government has contributed immensely to the social harmony in the state.
In a statement signed by the commissioner for information and public enlightenment, C. Don Adinuba, on Friday, January 11, Governor Obiano said he has no regrets relating well with President Buhari, The Punch reports.
Obiano reiterated there is a good relationship between the APC-led federal government, and Anambra state government, controlled by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA).

According to the governor, the good relationship had “contributed in no small measure to the unrivalled social harmony in the state which has made Anambra one of the most competitive states in the country.”
Obiano added that Anambra state government has a good relationship with other state governments and all political parties and their members.
He said: “Not only do we have excellent relations with all state governments in Nigeria, we also enjoy warm relations with all political parties and their members, including candidates in the 2019 general elections.
“We don’t discriminate in this state and this is visible in our administration as it is made up of members of the Peoples Democratic Party, the All Progressives Congress, and a number of non-Anambra indigenes.
“We are proud that Anambra is today the most peaceful, the most cohesive and the most inclusive state throughout the country.”
According to Governor Obiano, the level of cooperation among federal and state agencies in Anambra is due to the strategy put in place by him to make the state “the investment destination of first choice in Nigeria”.
He commended the security agencies in the state for providing adequate security, especially during the last Yuletide.
“Frankly, I think other parts of the country should come to Anambra State and see how not only federal agencies work together but also how national and sub-national organisations cooperate fully with one another for the benefit of the people,” Obiano said.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Governor Obiano commended President Buhari over the level of work on the second Niger bridge just as he expressed satisfaction with the standard and progress relating to the project.
The governor was visibly happy with the extent of work done so far on the bridge. Obiano expressed confidence that the federal government under President Buhari would deliver on the job as scheduled.
