Man City boss Guardiola makes big statement concerning Solskjaer's arrival at Old Trafford

- The Spaniard revealed he was not fortunate like Solskjaer after losing his first game as City manager

- Solskjaer will be eyeing his sixth win when United tackle Tottenham this weekend

Pep Guardiola has applauded Man United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his decent performance since replacing Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.

According to a UK Sun report, the City manager, who was excited seeing Man United win all five matches under Solskjaer revealed he was not that fortunate during his time.

"His start is much better than mine, I lost my first game and drew the second [after being appointed in 2016].

"He won all the games. He is a young manager, getting incredible results. I saw a few minutes of games they played and they played good.

"But it is not my business to talk about other opponents, we have a tough game around the corner against Wolves.

"It will be a tough game. We have one day off and then prepare for the game,” added the 47-year-old Guardiola.

Interestingly, the 45-year-old Solskjaer, will be facing one of his toughest opponents this Sunday when United tackle Tottenham at Wembley this Sunday.

The Old Trafford dwellers are currently sixth on the EPL log spot with 10 points adrift of league leaders Liverpool.

Earlier, Legit.ng reported that ex-Manchester United Jose Mourinho has landed a television job for the first time after leaving the Old Trafford dwellers last year.

According to a Mirror report, the 55-year-old football tactician will be working as an analyst for beIN Sports in Qatar, during the month-long tourney.
