One of the helicopters used by the Nigerian Air Force in its aerial support in the fight against insurgency has been lost in combat.
In a series of tweet from the official page of the Nigerian Air Force, it was revealed that the incident happened in the evening of Wednesday, January 2, in Damasak.

According to the information provided, the operation is part of the Nigerian troops’ effort to combat insurgency in the northeast.
It was however not revealed if any lives were lost.
According to the Nigerian Air Force details of the crash will be made known to the public soon.
