South Africa Football Association have announced the death of former striker Phil Masinga at the age of 49.
The center-forward played in the Premier League with Leeds United between 1994 and 1996 before moving to Swiss side St. Gallen and Italian clubs Salernitana and Bari.
"Sad day for South African football," said South Africa Football Association president Danny Jordaan.
"A loyal servant of the game, on and off the field of play."

Masinga made his debut for Bafana Bafana in July 1992 against Cameroon after the rainbow nation were readmitted into international football by FIFA at the end of Apartheid.
He will be fondly remembered for his goal against Congo which ensured South Africa's qualification to their first World Cup in 1998.
He was also a member of the squad that became champions of Africa when South Africa hosted and won the Nations Cup in 1996.

During his spell in the Premier League, Masinga scored five goals in 31 appearances for Leeds United.
"It is with great sadness that the club has learnt of former striker Phil Masinga's passing," said a statement from the Elland Road club.
"The thoughts of everyone at LUFC are with his family and friends."

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Bayana Bayana striker Thembi Kgatlana has clinched her maiden Africa Women's Footballer of the Year ahead of Nigeria's Asisat Oshoala and Francisca Ordega.
The 21-year-old who plays for Houston Dash in the United States had a stand-out performance in the AWCON tournament in Ghana. She also won four man-of-match awards during the tournament.
