Chelsea target finally says he want to leave Serie A club amid speculation

- Chelsea has been heavily linked to on loan AC Milan striker Higuain

- Gennaro Gattuso has confirmed that the Argentine wants to leave

- The 31-year-old has managed to score eight goals in all competitions

AC Milan manager Gennaro Gattuso has admitted that Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain wants to leave San Siro.

The 31-year is who currently on loan from Juventus has been linked with a move to solve Chelsea's attacking problems in January.

Milan defeated Sampdoria 2-0 in the Coppa Italia after extra time and Gattuso has admitted it will be difficult to keep the Argentine forward at the club.

He told Milan TV: "We have a very open relationship, we say things to each others faces, Gattuso told Milan TV.

"There is great honesty. When a player makes certain choices, it becomes difficult to convince him otherwise. One can try.

"At the moment, he is a Milan player and were holding on tight. I don't know what will happen.

"We are honest with each other and I want him to maintain the same attitude, which has never been lacking."

Higuain has been named in the squad that will travel to Jeddah in Saudi Arabia to face Juventus in the Italian Supercup on Wednesday, January 16.

According to British news media outlet The Sun, Higuain is Chelsea's main target in the winter transfer window.

And the Stamford Bridge outfit have now began complicated negotiations with Juventus and AC Milan over the Argentine international.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Reigning Italian champions Juventus have reportedly made it clear to Premier League giants Chelsea that they will have to pay £32million to sign Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain.

Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has been looking for ways to bring Higuain to Stamford Bridge since he arrived in London as he believes that the striker can help his team.
