The presiding pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, has said life was better under the administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan even though the previous administration was fraught with corruption.
Vanguard reports that Bakare made the assertion in an interview he granted Heritage Media in Calgary, Canada.

Legit.ng gathers that the Lagos-based cleric said, however, Nigeria had stopped importing rice for three years under the current administration. According to Pastor Bakare, this is an incredible achievement.
He said: "We are no longer importing rice for three years that is an incredible achievement, seventeen local government occupied by Boko Haram no longer an issue…"
Bakare stated that the undesirable state of education, healthcare delivery and infrastructural deficit did not start with President Muhammadu.
The clergyman said: "The allegations by the Nigerian public is that those around the president are also stealing, and some names have been mentioned. You cannot be a clean man surrounded by rogues, if you don’t deal with those rogues, they would colour you with the same tar."
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that the presiding pastor of the Latter Rain Assembly, Pastor Tunde Bakare, said God would replace President Muhammadu Buhari with another tender plant from the north.
The cleric who made the disclosure on Sunday, April 8, during a sermon, said once the president is out, another tender plant would replace him.

He said: “The reason things are going haywire in Nigeria today is because God is preparing a tender plant from the side of the north. “Once this president is out, another tender plant is entering. It will be clear to us that God preserved us for 30 years, preparing us for what he has prepared for us."
Bakare, however, stopped short of giving a name of the person or the state from where the president’s replacement will come from.
