For our #BellaNaijaWCW feature today, we celebrate Ommo Clark, a techpreneur who cut her teeth in investment banking and IT, working for several companies in Nigeria and the UK.
Clark is the founder of iBez Software House which provides software development and training services to organisations and individuals in emerging and underserved communities.
One of iBez’ focus is to build platforms, using technology, to solve local challenges.
For example, iBez created the Handy-Jacks platform that helps individuals “find vetted, skill assessed and competence graded professional service providers and artisans (handymen, tradespeople & technicians) in your neighbourhoods for your repair, maintenance or special projects.”
iBez also created the Let’s Share which it describes as “a secure online platform from where verified people can safely find spare bedrooms to rent in a flat or house share.”
Apart from the above, iBez runs trainings for entrepreneurs and professionals who need to use digital technologies as part of their job or to run their businesses, and Specialist Software Development Courses for people looking pursue or improve their careers in Software Development.
iBez’ services also involves the building of software applications (corporate websites, online portals, ecommerce websites, mobile applications and database solutions) for organisations.
Ommo is an alumnus of London Guildhall University UK (BSc Business Administration) and holds an MSc in Information Systems from Brunel University UK.
She relocated to Nigerian in 2008 and created iBez in 2013, but prior to that, she worked with an International Trade firm in Lagos (Rinsom Associates) as Chief Operating Officer; Soft Solutions Ltd (Enterpriseware), Lagos as Head of Projects Delivery & Support, the Icelandic Investment Bank, Kaupthing, Singer & Friedlander, London, UK as Project Manager, the Investment Bank Lehman Brothers UK as a Team Leader in the Mortgage Capital Division and Real Asset Management UK (a software house) as Application Support Consultant.
