Baptism of fire for Higuain as Bournemouth thrash Chelsea 4-0 at Vitality Stadium

- Bournemouth vs Chelsea saw Maurizio Sarri suffer his heaviest defeat since he joined the Blues last August

- Joshua King netted twice as Andrew Surman and Charlie Daniels both scored one goal each in the game

- The Blues have however suffered their fifth Premier League defeat in the ongoing season

Bournemouth cruised to a 4-0 convincing victory over Chelsea in Wednesday's Premier League clash at the Vitality Stadium.

Joshua King opened scoring for the Cherries with just two minutes into the second half after powering home a powerful shot from close range.

With David Brooks claiming assists for the goal which came in the 47th minute of the encounter in front of their home fans.

Both sides had gone ahead to play barren draw in the first half but the hosts got their tactics right on return to the pitch for the remainder of the game.

David Brooks recorded his name on the scores sheet in the 63rd minute as the home team went two goals up, and this time, it was King who created the assist for the second goal.

Blues boss Maurizio Sarri made some tactical changes in the 61st minute as the visitors searched for their first goal of the match.

Brazil attacker Willian came in for Pedro to add more bite to his side's attack, but all to no avail.

Four minutes later, the Italian substituted his anointed striker Gonzalo Higuain as Olivier Giroud took his place on the pitch in the 65th minute, yet Chelsea could not find a goal.

Bournemouth were unfazed with all the changes as Joshua King completed his brace to increase his side's tally to 3-0 in the 77th minute.

And just seconds before the final whistle was sounded, substitute Charlie Daniels scored the hosts fourth goal to hand the Italian born tactician his heaviest defeat since his arrival in the EPL.

French star Paul Pogba opened scoring for the Red Devils just five minutes into the game after tapping into the net from a Marcus Rashford's cross.

Romelu Lukaku and Marcus Rashford were also on target as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer maintain 100 percent win rate since the Norwegian's arrival in December.
