Legit.ng gathers that the presidential candidate pointed out that he conceded defeat when he lost before and doesn't see why this time should be different.

Atiku's response is perceived as being starkly different from that of President Muhammadu Buhari, his main opponent.

When asked the same question during his own appearance at a similar town hall meeting, the president did not categorically say if he would concede or not, but gave a response that was widely deemed non-committal.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Alhaji Atiku Abubakar dismissed allegations that he used his position in the Nigerian Customs Service to perpetrate acts of corruption.

The Customs allegation followed the controversial importation of 53 suitcases into the country in 1984 by a first class traditional ruler in the North.

Abubakar was the Customs officer in charge of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport when the suitcases were brought into the country.
