2019: Omisore breaks silence after Osun poll, reveals where his loyalty lies between APC and PDP

- Former deputy governor Iyiola Omisore has declared his full support for APC again in the forthcoming 2019 general elections

- Omisore made this statement when he received the governor of the Osun state, Gboyega Oyetola, and the APC chairman in the state, Gboyega Famodun

- Recall that he had pledged loyalty to the ruling party in the September 22, 2018, Osun gubernatorial election

Following his alliance with All Progressive Congress (APC) in the September 22, 2018, Osun gubernatorial election, former deputy governor Iyiola Omisore has declared his full support for the party again in the forthcoming 2019 general elections, The Nation reports.

Legit.ng gathers that this declaration was expedient in order to clear the dusts surrounding the growing discussion that continued to trail the loyalty of the Ife prince as elections draw nearer.

Speaking at the Ooni of Ife palace, Omisore, who was a gubernatorial candidate of Social Democratic Party (SDP), disclosed that it was important for him to let the world know where he belonged in regards to the coming polls.

He said: “There is no rumour about where we are and where we are going. What the APC chairman in Osun state, Gboyega Famodun said was instructive and correct.

“God made relationship between me and the APC possible. Osun is one now and Ife remains the source from where all of draws our strength.

“I don’t have to tell anybody that I am with the party. Any wise person should know where I belong.”

Omisore made this statement when he received the governor of the Osun state, Gboyega Oyetola, and the APC chairman in the state, Gboyega Famodun, at the palace Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi.

Commenting on the new synergy between the former governor and APC, Governor Oyetola described the relationship as perfect plan by God, adding that the former Ife prince's leadership experience will help drive the state new government to it glorious shore.

The governor also promised to create more job opportunities by building on the legacy of the his predecessor, Rauf Aregbesola.

He also promised to work with the traditional council in the state to ensure smooth leadership.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had reported that Chief Iyiola Omisore had reportedly agreed to work with the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the rerun election scheduled for Thursday, September 27.

The deal was sealed after a meeting between Chief Omisore and an APC powerful delegation team led by its national chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole, in Osogbo early Wednesday, September 26.
