The media adviser to the Director General of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Organisation, Doyin Okupe, has reportedly been detained by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
PDP's spokesperson, Kola Ologbondiyan, announced Okupe's arrest in a tweet on late evening of Monday, December 10.

Ologbondiyan tweeted that: "Media Adviser to the Director General of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, @doyinokupe detained by the EFCC. It is a season of assault, harassment and intimidation for the members of PDP."
Recall that Legit.ng earlier reported that Okupe, who is the former senior special assistant on public affairs to ex president Goodluck Jonathan, alleged that his house was stormed by operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Okupe who raised the alarm on his Facebook page on Saturday, December 8, claimed that the operatives asked him to follow them without due process.
