Jurgen Klopp makes big statement as Liverpool go top on the EPL standings

- Jurgen Klopp has admitted that Liverpool's win over Bournemouth was important for the club

- Liverpool are currently topping the Premier League table and the Reds remain unbeaten this season

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has explained that his wards have improved the control they have over games following their impressive Premier League win over Bournemouth.

Egypt international Mohamed Salah netted hat-trick against Bournemouth on Saturday, December 8, for Liverpool to go top on the Premier League standings.

Reds are also the only team this season who have not tasted a defeat in the Premier League after 16 games, and Jurgen Klopp has now made some vital explanation.

The 51-year-old German football manager hopes his side are far more robust than that and now have the ability to see out matches.

"I could probably draw for you the goals we conceded that day; we let Bournemouth come back into that game.

"Unfortunately I cannot say that will never happen again but we are really more controlled in these situations now. It was a big step for us; very important.

"Last year we were really flying and everything was brilliant, until we were not flying. The difference between flying and not flying was quick last year.

"It was something we wanted to work on. It's worked out. That's good. A few new players have come in and other players are more mature.

"This squad is still not too experienced, that's how it is. But we still have to improve, that's clear,'' Klopp explained according to UK Mirror.
