Arsenal boss Emery eyeing January transfer move for £18m rated La Liga midfielder

- Arsenal are plotting a move for Sevilla star Ever Banega in January as back up for Aaron Ramsey

- The 30-year-old has been on the radar of the Gunners boss since he joined the north Londoners this summer

- Both worked together at Spanish topflight side Sevilla

Arsenal manager Unai Emery has reportedly made his former player Ever Banega top priority signing in January.

The Argentine worked with the Gunners boss while managing Spanish League sides Sevilla and Valencia.

Daily Star however reports that the Spaniard has been a big fan of the 30-year-old forward since then and will hope to bring to the Emirates Stadium when the next transfer window opens.

Emery is said to be looking out for a replacement for outgoing star Aaron Ramsey, who contract runs out at the end of this current season.

Meanwhile, The Sun on Sunday reveals that Italian League giants Inter Milan are also interested in landing the player.

Banega once represented the San Siro outfit in the 2016-17 season and a return to re-join the Nerazzurri is on the cards.

According to the publication, the Gunners board is hoping to build a solid midfield with Lucas Torreira, Matteo Guendouzi, Granit Xhaka and Ever Banega at the center of the pitch.

Arsenal have revealed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan will be out for at least six weeks because of an injury to his right foot.

He landed Stephan Lichtsteiner, Bernd Leno, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira, Lucas Torreira and Matteo Guendouzi, and has made his former midfield star Banega his top priority.
