Recall that Legit.ng previously reported that the national peace committee headed by former head of state, Abdulsalami Abubakar, asked candidates and political parties in the country to ensure a peaceful general election in 2019, through their conducts, while the exercise lasts.
Abubakar, whose committee presented a draft copy of the 2018 peace accord to political parties and their presidential candidates in Abuja, lamented that some politicians are currently parading themselves in ways that threaten peaceful elections in 2019.
