Trouble for Solari as Eibar destroy Real Madrid 3-0 to hand him his first defeat as manager

- Santiago Solari suffers first Real Madrid defeat after losing 3-0 to Eibar

- A goal each from Gonzalo Escalante, Sergi Enrich and Kike ensured they claimed maximum point in the game

- This defeat means Real have lost five Spanish League matches since the season kicked off in August

- They are currently seated sixth on the log with 20 points after 13 La Liga matches

Real Madrid suffered their first defeat under new manager Santiago Solari following their 3-0 defeat to seventh place Eibar in the La Liga.

Gonzalo Escalante opened scoring for the hosts barely 16 minutes after a disappointing defensive error in Los Blancos' danger zone.

The goal came as a result of Sergio Ramos' poor clearance which gave Escalante the opportunity to tap the ball into the net.

Solari's men, having won their last four matches in all competitions since the appointment of the Argentine were hoping they can find an equaliser but they failed to reach their goal.

José Luis Mendilibar's side continued mounting pressure on the visitors but neither could find the net for the remainder of the match.

Los Armeros returned to the pitch for the second half with more hunger as they doubled their lead with a fine shot from Sergi Enrich in the 52nd minute.

And seven minutes later, Kike sealed the victory with another superb strike to hand the Santiago Bernabeu side their fifth defeat of the season.

However, in spite of the defeat, Real are still one step above Eibar ahead on the log with two points.

Legit.ng recalls that Real Madrid have named Santiago Solari new Los Blancos manager with immediate effect on Tuesday, November 13.

The Argentine takes over on permanent basis from Julen Lopetegui who was sacked after their 5-1 defeat to Barcelona at the Camp Nou in late October.

He managed the team for about two weeks on interim basis before making his appointment permanent earlier this month.
