Top Premier League keeper holds talks with Serie A champions Juventus over January switch

- David De Gea's agent Jorge Mendes is reportedly held discussions with Juventus chief over a possible switch to the Italian topflight

- The Spaniard has already put on hold any further contract negotiations with Manchester United

- Man United have the option of a 12-month extension at the end of De Gea's current contract

Manchester United's number one goalkeeper David De Gea, has sounded the transfer alarm yet again and this time the shot stoppers agent Jorge Mendes, is reportedly holding talks with Juventus.

De Gea has put on hold any further contract negotiations concerning his future at Old Trafford with his contract set to expire at the end of the season.

According to Tuttosport (Italy), Mendes had a recent meeting with Juve sporting director Fabio Paratici to allegedly discuss the possibility of the Spaniard joining Ronaldo at the Old Lady.

And despite the Red Devils having the option of a 12-month extension, De Gea's recent dip in form and volatility between the posts may have given him second thoughts over his stay.

Jose Mourinho may have to consider a possible replacement for Spain's number one keeper as Legit.ng understands Mendes has a strong affiliation with the Serie A giants.

It was Mendez who successfully pushed through Ronaldo's move from Madrid to Turin and Juventus chiefs certainly have a soft spot for the agent.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously had reported that Italian League giants Juventus are reportedly interested in signing Manchester United goalkeeper David De Gea.

The Spaniard has been a stand out performer for the Red Devils since he joined them from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011.

He has about six more months about on his current contract with the Old Trafford outfit having failed to sign new deal with the club.
