Premier League side Liverpool were dealt a major blow as their long term Paris Saint-Germain target, Adrien Rabiot has decided to sign for Barcelona.
The Reds were confident the Frenchman who will be out of contract with PSG would join them after reportedly making a big offer.
English champions Manchester City were also linked to the the 23-year-old but according to Spanish news media outlet Mundo Deportivo, Rabiot has agreed for a switch to the Camp Nou.

PSG had tabled a fresh deal for Rabiot, but the academy graduate of the club is free to sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from the new year.
Barca transfer chief Eric Abidal recently held talks with the player and his club and the midfielder has given the nod to play for the Catalans next season.

Rabiot has been tracked by the La Liga giants for a while and his departure will come as a big loss to the Parc des Princes outfit.
The France international who narrowly missed out of Didier Deschamps squad has played 200 times for PSG scoring 23 goals.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that France internationals Kylian Mbappe and Adrien Rabiot were disciplined by Paris Saint-Germain for failing to show up for a team briefing before a league match against Marseille.
Eric Maxim Choupo Moting was preferred to Mbappe who has been in remarkable scoring form this season while Julian Draxler replaced Rabiot.
