Former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, has said that the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar, will not disappoint when he becomes president in 2019.
Obasanjo was reported by Premium Times to have made the statement on Sunday, November 25, when he and another ex-president, Goodluck Jonathan, in the company of some governors of PDP, visited the palace of Lamido of Adamawa during a trip to the state to attend the turbaning of Atiku as the 7th Waziri Adamawa.
Paul Ibe, a spokesperson for Atiku Abubakar, who was present at the event said Obasanjo showered praises on the PDP presidential candidate.

Legit.ng learnt that Obasanjo assured the Lamido of Adamawa that Atiku would not disappoint when he becomes president in 2019.
It was also reported that Obasanjo recounted his ordeal at the Yola prisons when he was jailed by then military ruler of Sani Abacha in the 1990s.
After the meeting with the traditional ruler, Obasanjo, Jonathan, Atiku and the governors were said to have entered the same bus heading to home of the PDP presidential candidate to have lunch.

In a related report, the president of the Senate, Bukola Saraki, congratulated former Vice President and presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on his 72nd birthday and as the 7th Waziri Adamawa.
The Senate president Bukola Saraki in a tweet from his official Twitter page felicitated with the presidential candidate on the occasion.

Meanwhile, the son of former president, Olusegun Obasanjo, in the person of Olujonwo Olusegun Obasanjo, has emerged as the new national president of Buhari Youth Organization (BYO).
Also elected was engineer Garba Umar who was returned as the organisation’s national secretary, Leadership reports.
Immediately emerging president, Olujonwo reportedly unveiled the BYO Next Level T-shirt to mark the launching of 2019 presidential campaign for President Muhammadu Buhari.
Despite his father's insistence that President Buhari should not seek re-election, Olujonwo joined the campaign team of the president ahead of the general elections.
