Netherlands emphatic 2-0 victory over World Champions France hands Germany relegation

- Netherlands upset France 2-0 pushing Germany out of Group A

- Goals from Wijnaldum and Depay sealed the Dutch victory

- The World Champions only have themselves to blame after an underwhelming evening of football

Netherlands beat 2018 World Cup winners France 2-0 in the Uefa Nations League Group A clash, ending the World Champion's 15-game unbeaten run on Friday, November 16.

The Flying Dutchmen's victory sees Germany relegated to Group B after picking only one point from three games.

Les Blues simply did not turn up for the game and the Oranje attack led by ex-Manchester United ace Memphis Depay who was menacing throughout the encounter at Feyenoord Stadium.

And it was yet another Anfield man in the name of Georginio Wijnaldum that drew first blood after teaming up with ex-Liverpool man Ryan Babel, found an opportunity to fire a shot straight at Hugo Lloris.

And though the Tottenham shot stopper was able to Kick clear Babel's attempt but Wijnaldum was there and stroked the ball to the top of the net with ease.

Moussa Sissoko then awarded the Dutch a penalty in the dying minutes of stoppage time after he brought down Frenkie De Jong in the penalty area.

Depay stepped up to the occasion and made it 2-0 with a classic Panenka into the roof of the net leaving a spellbound Lloris clasping at thin air.

The Lyon man never fails to impress when it comes to beautiful football and saw fit to seal the night with a splendid chip from the spot.

The Dutch will next face Die Mannschaft on Monday, November 19.
