NECO makes change, releases timetable for Nov/Dec 2018 exams

- NECO has released its timetable for the November/December 2018 examinations

- The acting registrar of NECO, Abubakar Gana, in a recent statement said that the examinations will start on Monday, November 19

- The earlier date for the examinations was Thursday, November 15, but was later reviewed by the body

The National Examinations Council (NECO) has announced that its November/December 2018 Senior Secondary Certificate Examination (SSCE) will commence on Monday, November 19, Punch reports.

Abubakar Gana, the acting registrar of NECO revealed this in a statement in Abuja, adding that candidates should check their email boxes for the released timetable.

Gana said the examination was earlier scheduled to start on Thursday, November 15, but the council shifted the commencement date to Monday.

Gana said: “Candidates are hereby requested to download the new examination timetable on the NECO website and from the email used for the registration.

"Please note that this information supersedes the earlier publication on the commencement date for the examination date.”

Meanwhile, Legit.ng reported that the West African Examinations Council on Tuesday, March 13, announced the release of its January/February series of the 2018 West African Senior School Certificate Examination.

Legit.ng gathered that the approval to introduce and conduct the additional diet in the country and other national offices of the five-member countries was given at the council’s 65th annual general meeting in March 2017.

The introduction of the series for private candidates, brings to three, the number of examinations conducted by the council each year.
