Members of Kwankwasiyya movement pledge loyalty to APC

- Former PDP members in a defection rally held before thousand APC supporters pledge their loyalty to the ruling party in Kano state

- Adams Oshiomhole, the national chairman of the APC, urges Nigerians not to allow those who have plundered the country to return to power

- Oshiomhole commends Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for carrying out developmental projects in Kano state

Some members of the Kwankwasiyya movement, a group affiliated with an ex-Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, have defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano state.

Legit.ng reports that the former PDP members in a defection rally held before thousand APC supporters in Kano state have pledged their loyalty to the ruling party.

A past governor of Kano state, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, was among those who publicly identified with the APC. The new party members were welcomed to the APC by the national chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.

Oshiomhole at the rally urged Nigerians not to allow politicians who had plundered the country to return to power.

He commended Governor Abdullahi Ganduje for carrying out developmental projects in Kano state. Oshiomhole said the governor deserved another four-year tenure so that he could continue the projects he is working on.

Meanwhile, a former deputy national publicity secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Timi Frank, has stated that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar's strong faith in democracy, rule of law and justice will work for him in the 2019 general elections as the presidential flag-bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Frank, in a special message to Atiku to mark his 72nd birthday and his turbaning as the Waziri Adamawa, on Sunday, November 25, said that the PDP presidential candidate's life has been a life of service to humanity and his country.

He also stated that Atiku’s contribution to the social, political and economic development of the country will continue to speak volumes.
