The governor of Rivers state, Nyesom Wike, on Sunday, November 12, said he has been fortified by God to defend the interest of the state and her people against every forces of darkness.
Punch reports that the governor while speaking during a luncheon for the President of Christ for All Nations, Evangelist Daniel Kolenda, and his team at the Government House in Port Harcourt said the crusade has been beneficial to the people of the state.
Wike said the massive turnout of Rivers people for all the days of the gospel crusade is a prove that the state has remained a Christian state.

“I can tell you that I am more fortified and prepared to go and defeat Satan and his agents. We require prayers of men of God, so that we can keep going forward," Wike said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng previously reported that Wike had said he is prepared for his 2019 re-election bid.
He made the announcement in Port Harcourt on Saturday, September 1, before inaugurating the secretariat of the ‘One Million Youths for New Rivers state'.
Wike said his decision to seek re-election was based on the support of the youths across the state’s 23 local government areas.

He also said the other reason he had to fight to protect the state was the endorsement he received from women, elders, ethnic nationalities and even non-indigenes.
