Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has revealed on Friday that French defender Benjamin Mendy could be out of action for 12 weeks.
According to Sky Sports sources, the Citizens left-back, who missed most games last term due to a cruciate ligament damage in his right knee, underwent surgery last week, to correct the meniscus in his left knee.
Speaking during his pre-match press conference ahead of West Ham game Guardiola said: "10 to 12 weeks,” noted the Spaniard, who also revealed that Portuguese playmaker, Bernardo Silva will miss the Hammers and Lyon games.

"He (Silva) cannot play this weekend. It's not too big but I don't know if, next Tuesday, he's ready," said Guardiola.
At the last count, Belgium midfielder Kevin De Bruyne is still sidelined, but the pair of Nicolas Otamendi and Ilkay Gundogan are fit to face West Ham.
