- Construction workers have cried out for the low income they earn building stadia
- Thousands of accidental deaths have happened at the site of where work is done
- The workers are get as low as £5 against the stipulated amount government allotted
The 2022 World Cup is the next four years and construction is still ongoing as workers are getting the stadia ready for the soccer fiesta.
But the oil-rich nation have come under huge criticisms because 1,200 deaths have been recorded directly linked to the construction of the new match venues.
Some of the staffs have been poorly compensated for their work and they cannot feed their families despite the pain-staking efforts to get things ready for the events.

“It is hard to be away for so long,” one worker, employed to build the 40,000-seater Al-Rayyan Stadium," told the Guardian.
“Sometimes the family want to have you in their midst – and you may not have money to send them. We were supposed to earn something big – but we earn small: 650 a month basic salary.”
The workers are paid a £140 stipends per month, £35 per week and just £5 per day as for an eight hours work daily.

And the payment is below the provisional £160 minimum wage the government have set for eight per day work.
Workers from some part of Africa, including Ghana claim to have traveled in anticipation of the supposed juicy offer.
“Our system in Ghana is the extended family. When anybody needs help, they come to you. They know we have travelled to Qatar and ask us for money, but we don’t have it," said another. "I do not have enough to feed my family. The money is not what we expected to get. We think about this all the time."
The accident at the construction site are fatal too, with the mental strain forcing the workers to come together in order to ensure safety.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Qatar have shown interest in accepting Iran's offer to host teams during the 2022 World Cup but no decision has been taken yet.
Iran extended its hand owing to Qatar's geographical size and the number of teams that will grace the quadrennial tournament in 2022.
