Atletico Madrid star Diego Godin has rated Barcelona's Lionel Messi as the best player in the world.
The defender joined his Spanish League side in 2010 and has gone ahead to score 16 times in over 250 appearances for the club.
During this period, he has featured against world class striker which includes Cristiano Ronaldo and Neymar.

The Uruguay international, whose contract with the Wanda Metropolitano outfit in 2019 was full of praise for the Argentine according to Daily Mail.
Both stars are however poised for the first leg of their La Liga clash after the international break in a bid to win the league title at the end of the season.
"For me, Messi is the best, I've always said it,' Juanfran said of the forward who recently returned from a broken arm.

"He and Cristiano have marked differences, but Leo has always had a little more. I respect him very much.
"On the field you can kick him, he doesn't complain much. Neymar, on the other hand, is the opposite of Messi."

Barcelona currently lead La Liga by one point, with Sevilla, Atletico and Alaves all sitting one point behind.
