Benue state governor, Samuel Ortom has congratulated the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar on his 72 birthday.
Governor Ortom described Atiku as a charismatic, humble and experienced leader who is committed to a greater Nigeria.
In a statement sent to Legit.ng by his chief press secretary, Terver Akase, the governor noted that Atiku's philanthropic and humane credentials stand him out as a man who believes in the development of fellow human beings.

Governor Ortom stated that the emergence of Atiku as presidential candidate of PDP and the nationwide enthusiasm Nigerians have shown in his candidacy confirm the fact that the former vice president is indeed the preferred choice of the people in 2019.
He expressed confidence in the ability of Atiku to tackle the myriad of problems facing the country, particularly in security and the economy.
He prayed to God to sustain His blessing upon Atiku to enable him continue to render selfless services to the nation.

Similarly, Delta state governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa has described Atiku as a great patriot, democrat and man of faith for his legendary and remarkable contributions to the growth of democracy in Nigeria.
