Earlier, Legit.ng reported that a lady named Elizabeth Odunlami took to accusing the Ooni of Ife of promising her marriage and then going off to marry someone else. As it appears, Oba Adeyeye Enitan has come out to deny the accusation through a statement.
The woman who was bitter about the supposed betrayal had claimed the Ooni of Ife also used her name to get a contract that earned him millions of dollars Elizabeth took to Facebook to make this staggering accusation against the king.
Elizabeth wrote a full length rant while trying to make her claim convincing. According to her, her choice to air her grievances came from the weighing humiliation the acclaimed betrayal had brought upon her.
"As a matter of fact, you promised me to be your next queen before Naomi, whenever i asked you if you have someone, you were always in denial. On certainty, you told me that all your so-called spiritualists positively accepted me as your new queen..."

It would seem that the Ooni of Ife has caught wind of her accusation. And he has now responded her accusation accordingly. This he did on Wednesday, October 24.
Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi who recently married an evangelist Naomi Oluwaseyi has emphatically stated in a statement that he did not make any promise of marriage to the lady and he certainly did not engage in any extramarital affair with her.

In the wake of this astounding revelation, the king took to clearing his name in a press release which was signed and made public by the palace’s director, media & public affairs, Moses Olafare.
The words contained within the statement made by the Ooni regarded Elizabeth whose identity is yet to be confirmed as a victim of fraudulent activities. According to the Oba, she had fallen prey to one of the people who impersonate him in order to defraud her.
Oba Adeyeye who had earlier warned about this rampant impersonation of his identity said he felt sorry for Elizabeth but this would not stop him from rebutting the claim she had laid against him.

“While we sympathise with Miss Elizabeth Odunlami (if the identity is real) who obviously has become a victim of a fraudlent act perpetrated by a scammer disguising to be Ooni Ogunwusi, we find it pertinent to debunk this sacrilegious and unfounded allegation which is not unlikely to be another calculated ploy adopted by some unprovoked detractors using pseudo-identities.
It warned the public to ignore anyone presenting himself as the royal father in order to perpetrate evil. Good members of the public especially ladies are hereby cautioned against communicating with anyone presenting himself to be the Ooni Ogunwusi and swiftly report such a matter or person to the relevant security agencies.”
It is however worthy of note that Elizabeth Odunlami has deleted the post in which she tabled her accusation on her Facebook page.
