Kaduna state governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai has on Friday, October 26, paid a late night visit to locations around Kaduna metropolis, checking compliance with the curfew and encouraging the security agencies and civilian volunteers helping to maintain order.
The governor disclosed on the official Facebook page of the government.
Legit.ng reports that the 24-hour curfew was imposed on the state capital and environs following outbreak of violence on Sunday in which scores of people were killed and properties burnt.

Security operatives were also deployed to strategic places including banks and other businesses across the city.
Recall that Legit.ng had previously reported that the Kaduna state government reinstated a 24-hour curfew on Friday, October 26, just few days after relaxing the order.
According to social media posts by the Kaduna state government, the curfew takes effect from 11am. Legit.ng gathered that the government took the decision after violence broke out again in some parts of the state.
Legit.ng had also reported that the traditional ruler of Adara - the Agwom Adara - Maiwada Raphael Galadima who was abducted last Friday, October 19, with his wife was killed by his kidnappers.

Galadima was said to have been killed on Thursday, October 25. Daily Trust reports that the traditional leader's body was found early Friday morning, October 26, before it was taken to St. Gerald Catholic Hospital in Kaduna state.
