The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and its other affiliate organizations on Sunday, September 30, announced they have decided to call of their warning strike that had partially grounded economic activities in the country.
The president of the NLC, Ayuba Wabba, made the announcement, according to Channels Television.

Wabba reportedly said the strike is being called off as a result of the firm assurance of the federal government to reconvene the tripartite committee on the new minimum wage.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the organised labour on Thursday, September 27, shut down offices of aviation agencies at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos to press home their demands for the implementation of a new National Minimum Wage.
However, this action did not affect flight operations at the nation’s busiest airport as airlines and passengers went about their respective businesses without harassment from the unions.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the Trade Union Congress on Tuesday insisted organised labour would commence strike from early hours of Thursday, September 27, following the federal government’s failure to honour its ultimatum on the new minimum wage.
