Obasanjo sees this decision by Buhari as a sign of weakness and notes that presidential candidate of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party Atiku Abubakar would sign the Agreement once he emerges as the next Nigerian president.

He fired the shot at Buhari all the way from Bali, Indonesia while speaking at the Babacar N’daiye Lecture by the Africa Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) on the sideline of the International Monetary Fund (IMF)/ World bank meeting.

He said: “We will have a president who will be able to sign the Africa Continental Free Trade Agreement, not the one whose hands is too weak to sign”
