Former Super Eagles ace and 3SC coach Edith Agoye fainted on the pitch on Saturday, September 29, 2018, after he was attacked by the opposing goalkeeper at the Akwa Ibom stadium Uyo.
According to 3SC official Twitter account, the 42-year-old Agoye was allegedly knocked on the head by the opposing goalkeeper, Franklin Akwari moments after the Nigeria National League fixture against home side Akwa Starlets ended in a barren draw.
However, the timely intervention of medics at the venue, to help save the life of Agoye, who was unconsciousness immediately he was punched.

The report further revealed that other officials of the Oluyole Warriors, equally, received various degree of injury from the attack.
Interestingly, the one-capped ex-Eagles star Agoye alongside his former teammate Wasiu Taiwo joined Shooting Stars SC in 2013 an assistant coach.

Collins Ebitimi became famous in the Nigerian topflight football when he helped Stationery Stores of Lagos to win the Nigerian Premier League title in 1992.
He also captained the team to the semifinals of the 1993 African Cup of Champions Clubs which is now CAF Champions League.
