A former chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nuhu Ribadu, on Sunday, September 16, visited President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
The federal government said Ribadu was at the at the Residence, State House in Abuja.
This was made known through the official Twitter page of the presidential villa, @AsoRock.
While it is still not clear why the former EFCC's boss made the visit to the President, Ribadu in response to the tweet said: "It was a pleasure to meet with President @MBuhari earlier this evening. I am grateful for the audience, Mr President."

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that Ribadu had given a list of the many Nigerians who fustrated his efforts to fight corruption during his tenure as the EFCC's chairman.

Ribadu says some lawyers in the country have worked against the fight against corruption.
He also gave the name of his predecessor Farida Waziri as one of those who undermined the country’s efforts to fight against the corruption.
