Breaking: Sultan of Sokoto’s son reportedly involved in car crash (photos)

The eldest son of the Sultan of Sokoto, Sa'ad Abubkar III, is said to be allegedly involved in an ghastly car accident.

Amir was said to be driving at about 12 noon within Sokoto Airport Road, in an area called Bado, when the accident happened.

According to Sahara Reporters, Amir was in the vehicle with Khalifa Maccido, son of Aliyu Macciddo, and a girl he allegedly from Kaduna when the incident took place.

It was gathered that the Sultan's son was taken to the Usman Danfodio Teaching Hospital, where he has been unconscious.

Also witnesses said while the occupants of the vehicle were being taken to the hospital, officials of the Sultanate Council were allegedly seen removing the Sultanate council plate number from the car so as not to expose the Sultanate Council.

When contacted, Faruku Ladan Ddaji, secretary of the sultanate said he could not confirm the incident as he was out of town.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that a son to President Muhammadu Buhari, Yusuf Buhari, has been involved in a bike accident in Abuja.

The presidency had said that Yusuf suffered a head injury and multiple fractures in a power bike accident in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) on Tuesday, December 26, night.

Sources said Yusuf was out riding with a friend when the incident happened.
