Barcelona beat Real Sociedad in tough game to stay top of the La Liga standings

- Barcelona on Saturday defeated Real Sociedad 2-1 in Spanish La Liga game

- Aritz Elustondo scored Real Sociedad's only goal in the encounter

Spanish La Liga champions Barcelona on Saturday, September 15, continued with their fine form of the season beating Real Sociedad 2-1 in their fourth game this term.

Real Sociedad scored the first goal of the match in the 12th minute through Aritz Elustondo who was brilliantly assisted by Hector Moreno.

Barcelona failed to score in the first 45 minutes as both teams went into the break with the hosts leading.

Luis Suarez scored the equalizer for Barcelona in the 63rd minute after being superbly set up by Argentina international Lionel Messi.

Frenchman Ousmane Dembele scored the winning goal for Barcelona in the 66th minute as the champions maintain their perfect start of the season winning the match 2-1.

Barcelona are now leading the Spanish La Liga standings with 12 points after four games played this season.

Earlier, NAIJ.com had reported how Spanish champions Barcelona were interested in the signing of Chelsea winger Willian during the last summer transfer.

The Catalan giants were impressed with his performances at the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but the Blues refused to do the business with Barcelona.
