The Nigerian army has recovered some personal belonging of Major General Idris Alkali after his vehicle was discovered in a pond in Jos, Plateau state.
In a Facebook post by one Idris Ahmed Ahmed, it was reported that the clothes and shoes of the retired major general were recovered on Saturday, September 29.

Although his body has not been found yet, it is believed that Alkali was killed before his vehicle and other belongings were thrown into the pond.
He wrote: "Fellow compatriots, we update you on the brutal murder of Major General Idris Alkali. Following today's recovery of his Toyota car from a pond in Jos, below are some personal belongings of the late Major General, retrieved from the car. His body is yet to be recovered. We will keep you posted with progress. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Ameen."
NAIJ.com had reported that the search for Idris Alkali, a missing retired major-general seems to be almost over as the Nigerian Army has revealed that his vehicle has been found inside a pond in Plateau state.
Alkali, former chief of Administration, Army headquarters, Abuja, was declared missing on September 3. He was on his way to Bauchi after leaving Abuja in the morning.

The Army disclosed this in news flash on its Facebook handle on Saturday, September 29.
"Joint Task Force constituted by COAS Lt Gen TY Buratai comprising officers and soldiers from 3 Division Quick Response Team, Operation Safe Haven, Nigeria Police Force, Vehicle Inspection Office, Fire Service, as well as local divers have found the vehicle belonging to Maj Gen Alkali RTD at a pond in Paddock in Lafendeg Du Plateau state," the Army wrote.
