There have been several stories about how some young girls steal their parent’s money and squander it on their boyfriends. Some go as far as making use of their school fees in order to put a smile on the face of their lover.
A young lady from Kenya, Cynthia Cherop, has pleaded guilty in court for stealing er mother’s money and spending it with her boyfriend, Josephat Ng’ang’a. She is a student of Moi University.
It was reported that Cherop took the sum of KSh70,000 (N252,000) from her mother’s two accounts at Barclays and National banks.

After pleading guilty as charged, Cherop added that she is a first time offender. Cherop further disclosed that, the used the second withdrawal to purchase clothes for her clothing business.
Her boyfriend, Ng’ang’a was also charged with creating disturbance by threatening to beat up Cherop’s mother, Milka Chebosisi Sitati, on June 5 this year. He denied the charge and was released on bail.
Following this happenings, Cherop’s mother pleaded with the court to jail her daughter but two of her brothers pleaded with the court to release their niece to them since their mother was not interested in seeing her. They added that, they want her released so she can continue her college education.

The magistrate who was still in shock at what Cherop’s mother requested for disclosed that: “What have you done to your mother to hate you this much?”
