Nigeria head coach Salisu Yusuf was caught on camera collecting money from an undercover journalist posing as football agents to select two of their players for the 2018 African Nations Championship which was staged in Morocco earlier this year.
Nigeria got to the final of the championship for the first time at the 5th edition of the tournament but lost 4-1 to the host nation and settle down for bronze medal.
They were bundled out of the 2016 edition at the group stage under former coach Sunday Oliseh in Rwanda following failure to build on their 4-1 win in the opening group game two years ago.

However, the video, which was filmed by Ghanaian investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in September 2017 showed the former Kano Pillars and Enyimba boss receiving a sum of $1000 to include the two unnamed players in his squad.
Meanwhile, the Eagles' head coach was promised a part of the players' transfer money once they are able to get good deals to play abroad.
A voice said in the video clip after handing Yusuf the $1000 that: “So if anything goes through and these players are able to get their contracts, you will get 15% of that contract,” one of the reporters posing as an agent told Yusuf to which he replied; “they will be in CHAN.”

According to a report on Africanfootball.com, Yusuf was to have signed his contract before the AFCON qualifier against Tanzania in Uyo this weekend, but top officials were overseas on official duties around that time.
